Preparing Application Package

Five Tricks and Tips for Prospective Scholarship Awardees

When you start thinking to pursue study overseas, your world will change. I am happy to have a chance to share this to you, so please read below steps thoroughly. These simple steps led me to be one of the AusAID-ers alumni!

1. Collecting successful application forms as much as you can. Reading through successful applications will inspire and surely motivate you. In addition, it is good to have comparative documents before you start writing.
2. Never ‘copy-paste’ sentences you get from former applications sent if you don’t want to be disqualified at the first place
3. Make use of your lunch break for ‘googling’ related scholarship info.
4. Send email(s) to the preferred university by asking some questions about the course interested you. Submit copy of this correspondence (between you and the University’s staff) along with your application package. It will boost your application!
5. Proof-read your writing before application submitted. If you are working in an International Organization, you are lucky enough to get this proof-reading service for free.
